Hello everyone!. I wanted to share this with you. My daughter had head lice, and we battled this for over six months. we used all over the counter meds and even prescription meds to no avail. In my desperation for my daughter I bought a shower cap and a Big bottle of original Listerene mouthwash. after soaking her hair in Listerene two , maybe three times in a weeks time with the shower cap pulled over her hair and a wait of two hours each application, These damned bugs all died! Try it ! Its inexpensive and not as slimy as oils or mayonnaise. It WORKS!

@ : I did this on my head after my kids caught head lice a few years back and couldn't do the Nix on my own and it worked. I think I did it three or four times and I didn't have any issues after that. I used the Nix on my son, followed the direction, rinsed him, as I was combing, I was getting LIVE bugs. I'm creeped out thinking about that... but I even said way back then that they are no longer killed by the lice shampoos even before this SuperBug stuff came out so I looked for a home remedy for myself and it worked. Gotta love kids and the critters they share!

Nothing works better than a cheap hair conditioner, I used "suave" for my granddaughter when nothing had worked. I had used over the counter medicine, oils, and mayonnaise until someone told me about the hair conditioner. I bought a large bottle and used a lot of it and combed her hair one small section an a time. I saw every single lice and nit come out. Then I washed her hair.. repeat this one or two more times until you see no more lice coming out. Until this day my granddaughter has been lice free for 4 months. I recommend this home remedy.

This is going to sound weird but also cow shampoo works great!!! If you have any open wounds on your scalp it will burn. I have thick hair and nothing ever works but this.

We always use tea tree oil. Soak it in the hair and wear a plastic bag overnight. Wash in the morning and problem solved ????

I have a problem. I live by myself and have no way to get it out myself with a comb, any suggestions? I can't see to comb it out and stuff but nobody can really come here to help and I'm sick of it and only had it for a day. I feel absolutely gross having it and I'm so careful but I guess a kid I babysat must have given me it. Please anybody. Help.
