What if one were to sleep in several of these positions, would that reflect that that persons personality changes regularly and be a sign of a personality disorder. I was diagnosed with borderline personality disorder myself and I do regularly change positions. That is very strange to me and actually makes this very possibly true. This was sort of a question and a statement but it would be interesting to hear what people have to say

Interesting you should say that, I was wondering the exact same thing. I too was diagnosed with BPD some years ago and I mainly switch between the fetal, the yearner and on the odd occasion I sometimes sleep on my back, but I wouldn't call it the soldier position when I do. I can't lay with my arms flat out at my sides like that and have my hands rested on my chest instead. Reading the descriptions of both the fetal and the yearner, I do agree to having most of those traits, expect for being organised. I'm probably one of the most disorganised and scattiest people in existence lol Hopefully we get an answer from somebody who knows what they're talking about, but we ARE ALL individuals and I imagine most people, regardless of having some kind of mental disorder or not, will find they don't 100% fit into one specific category.
