If you have this pain and have never had an endoscopy, get one. Idk why it's so hard for Drs to diagnose ulcers, but I was in the E.R. Every month for 4 months before a gastroenterologist found the problem. I took two Prilosec a day (one in the morning and one in the evening) along with a bland diet of soft and liquid foods. After about three days, the pain subsided. After 30 days I stopped the medication. It flares up when I fall off the wagon and eat whatever I want.

I have had this pain on and off over 10 years. My Chiropractor (Kinesthesiologist) has been able to adjust my rib and it fixes it well. I am also on a few supplements to support my liver, gall bladder and adrenal glands. that did the trick. Once I saw the Chiropractor, I haven't had this issue at all. God Bless...hope this helps.

I am a drinker. I drink alcoholic beverages every day. I am forty six and haven't been very good to my body. I am currently having severe pains under my ribs on the right side. It's really painful about a fist length down from my right chest muscle. It is very painful to touch with any pressure at all. I'm not one who doesn't go to a doc much but have recently been getting very worried that it could be my liver. I pray to God it isn't because I have two young kids I'm raising on my own but I'm seriously worried about leaving them due to my health. I'm currently tying to get in to see a doc but if anyone knows of something else this could be please let me know. Thank you guys for listening and any response that might help. God.bless you all. Ps. Any young people out there, please do yourself and your current or future family a favor and cut way back or better yet give up on the booze and drugs. Believe me. It's very disturbing thinking about leaving your kids and or grandkids all because you led an irresponsible and selfish life, as I did. Thank you guys, and God bless

Folks, you're breaking my heart: there aren't any doctors here. Please see a doctor, call the nurse line on the back of your health insurance card, or go to an emergency room or community clinic, as soon as possible--the answers are not on an internet message board, so leaving a message here won't do anything for you but help you vent. Until you can see a doctor: stop drinking alcohol, stop taking ibuprofen or other no steroidal anti-inflammatory medicines, limit Tylenol to absolutely no more than the recommended daily dose, drink a lot of water, cut WAY back on dairy and fatty, salty or sugary foods, eat some fresh fruits and vegetables, walk at LEAST half an hour a day (preferably a couple of times a day), and stretch (especially the chest--try lying on a narrow bench, bolster or foam roller and opening arms out at shoulder height, bending elbows to 90 degree angle and letting gravity pull arms toward floor; breathing deeply and letting your belly and chest fill with air may also help). You could have anything from restricted muscles, to indigestion, to ulcers, to gall stones, to appendicitis, to liver failure, to food allergies, so see a doctor and take care of your body before and after. God bless!
