okay guys please help me I am 22 years old im5 10 and 140 pounds I usually will use starting On a Wednesday and then by Friday or Saturday I go cold turkey I have a urine test on that Following Wednesday this means I have 5 days to where I do not use heroin or any opiates for that matter. By the way I don't use any other drugs at all whatsoever not even pot the only thing I use is heroin sometimes a beer too but nothing too drastic but why is it after 5 days of being clean that I still have droped dirty 9 out of 10 times I have literally taken 10 test and only had one test that came up negative and I do believe that I had 6 days clean I only used on Wednesday and then the rest of the week till the following Wednesday I did not use that was a month ago it just doesn't make any sense to me I have a very high metabolism my body is athletic I have all the right features to where it should be out of my system within 2 to 3 days but somehow I just keep dropping dirty for opiates on my drug screen somebody please tell me why this is happening obviously I take full responsibility and no I'm ignorant as hell to continue to use but scientifically it just astounded me that for some weird reason I still drop dirty so please there's any physicians or doctors reading this I'd like your professional and personal opinion I honestly do not think I will be able to read any replies to this so if you can reach out to me on Facebook my name is Richi barnes I live in Columbia Missouri please anybody reading this I would love to get your opinion and hopefully find a Reason to why this keeps happening(and please save me the headache of somebody saying it's happening to me because I'm using that's just ignorant for someone to say to an addict) but thank you for your time and I will be waiting and welcome in any and all ideas

I think because of the usage intervals that you are a steady user. This means that it may stay a bit longer I'm your urine... Also... The testing that they are using today are lowered ...meaning that they detect lesser levels therefore it takes longer to get out... If you keep coming up dirty and you know when the test is going to be you need to allow more time before the test... Definitely drink as much water as you can...You can always give someone else's urine that's clean but if it's supervised urine your gonna have to try and pull it off I doubt highly that your doing un supervised ones because you can drop a whole host of things that would come back clean.. Jo-Jo I was using heroine for a while, around 2 bags a day. I used last on Friday evening at 10 pm as i was to receive a oral swab test on Monday afternoon. I drank plenty of water, exercised and done a tea detox. I had bought a saliva test off the internet to test myself before attending my appointment on Monday and it tested negative. i am worried that the test used at my work is more advanced than the instant result one that i purchased as they send it to a lab to test. Are my worries warranted or do you think i will be ok. If anyone could give me an answer to this it would put my mind at ease and would be much appreciated.

Hi, good article but one glaring mistake, heroin does have a very established place in medicine, it is a potent analgesic and is used in trauma (EXCLUDING SUSPECTED HEAD INJURY) and as first line pain relief for heart attack patients, sold under its medical names the most popular being Diamorphine, Diacetylmorphine. Used via IV as route of administration it has advantages over morphine. Different types of heroin leave different metabolites demonstrating use of Heroin and unique to heroin. EXAMPLE heroin from the Afghan region is heroin type 6 and leaves 6-Monoacetylmorphine following use. These metabolites are often used to establish positive results for testing purposes as no other opiate will leave this metabolite. Other metabolites are unique to heroin from other regions.

Also these metabolites are very quickly broken down,a positive opiate test should always demonstrate the metabolite present eg 6-MAM other wise it could be a false positive caused by ingestion of codeine, morphine or even if enough are consumed poppy seeds. (It's unlikely a poppy seed bagel will leave enough opiate to effect a test, but has been documented)

Hello my names scott. I smoked my last heroin on Monday morning. I was a 3 bag a day smoker or sorter. I've been on a tapered dhc 30mg detox " my own home detox " BTW. I had accumulated 155 30mg tabs and downloaded a proper tapered detox. This is day 5 and all the kit has gone. I know this from previous detoxes. I'm on 14 dhc tabs today then 12 tomorrow and so on til nil. Hope it's the last but can never say never. 5mg of proper diazepam helps one morning and night . Eat easy eats and drink.. no more cold turkeys

Hi please can anyone help me I'm Not a heroine addict but once a week I buy myself 1/2 bags to smoke just because I like the way it makes you feel and I don't drink or take any other drug at all. But I'm fighting for my daughter to come back and live with me and I'm worried they may want to take a hair strand test. Is there anything I can do or take to make sure it doesn't show. Please help I'd really appreciate any advice. Thank you

Because all o see on the comments is people trying to get pass a drug test, really dont you want to get off because it will kill you? And think about you children and your parents , im sure you are killing them with the stress of you dieing on them , smh unbelievable! !
