My nose piercing bump was very persistent but I finally found something that works. I got my nose pierced on April 12, 2016. About a month into the healing process, I got the nasty bump from it getting snagged. I tried everything from asprin paste to sea salt pastes and soaks to tea tree oil. It all really did nothing for my bump and at times made it even more irritated! I was having a talk with my sister who suffers from Keloids and I'm talking about serious ones... the ones that are large in size, itch, and just make one miserable in general. She told me to try silicone tape! She told me it works wonders on her keliods. She gave me a strip to take home with me. I cut it in 1/8 in. strips and before I went to bed at night I literally turned the tap on in my bathroom sink on to warm but more toward the warmer side. I stuck my nose under it and let the water run on my piercing for about 45 seconds and dried it really good with a clean towel. I then took the backing off one of my tiny strips and stuck it over the little dastardly bump. In the morning the bump was reduced to almost nothing! I couldn't have been more surprised! I now cover my piercing scar with my strips when weather is hot as well because that seems to make my nose piercing angry too and every night before bed I do the warm water rinse...NO SOAPS OR ANYTHING. It works wonders! I literally took my strip of this morning and while there is still some darkening of the skin from the bump that formed and was very persistent I'm certain it will fade with time just like anything does over time. I'm so glad I listened to my sister! The tape is called Safetac if you all want to give it a go. It's on Amazon. I was about to take my piercing out because nothing had helped but I'm glad my sister told me about the silicone tape! I hope it will work as well for you as it continues to work for me! :) Good luck everyone!

Try using emu oil. I have had a bump on my nose piercing for a month or so and I started using the emu oil and it went mostly away. It helps a lot.

I got my nose pierced May 11,2016 it was perfectly fine until I had to go to the hospital like 2 weeks after. I needed to remove my piercing to take a cat scan. After I was done I had a lot of trouble putting my piercing back In, but I managed to get it back in. I started growing a bump I didn't pay any attention to it until it began to grow and the top turned red. I began to immediately research and do sea salt soaks and using cotton balls and pressing on the pimple. I see progress but now the red part is mostly like skin. I don't know whether to pull it off or leave it?? Or should I be afraid it's tissue ?

So I got my nose pierced in May, and maybe two weeks after I got this huge red bump it was so gross, it had yellowish discharge and it just looked like this very big infected pimple. I read every home remedy. I tried the sea salt soaks, tea tree oil, alcohol, everything. And just when I was about to give up one night I got frustrated and just mixed EVERYTHING together. I'm talking about alcohol, sea salt, tea tree oil, and aspirin. I made it into a paste and applied it for two nights or so and boom my bump was dried out and I peeled it off and it was all gone. Now I wasn't very careful about a month later I went to a water park (this is where I knew I screwed up) and went down the water slides and I pressed on my nose so I wouldn't get water in, but I pressed too hard. Now like a week or so later I'm starting to notice that it's a little dark and a bit raised. I've been doing my little remedy but it just looks the same and I'm a bit worried. This bump is nothing compared to the last one though.

What's up people! So I got my nose pierced June 3rd right after my high school graduation! ???? So like I do wear makeup quite often and I avoided putting foundation near my nose however for some reason a month later and I have some weird red bump right under my piercing. Like my nose ring is in the bump. Anyways idk what this is and I'm not taking the piercing off ( I did accidentally remove it after a shower once) so idk if I should just leave it be and see if it heals on its own or if I should follow the steps above.
